تحت رعاية الدكتور أحمد فؤاد هنو وزير الثقافة، يكرم مهرجان القاهرة الدولي للمونودراما، برئاسة الدكتور أسامة رؤوف مؤسس المهرجان، الفنان القدير “عبد العزيز مخيون” تقديرًا لمسيرته الفنية الثرية وما قدمه من إسهامات بارزة للمسرح المصري، وذلك فى دورة المهرجان الثامنة المقامة فى الفترة من 2 حتى 6 أكتوبر المقبل .
من جانبه، أعرب الفنان عبد العزيز مخيون عن سعادته بهذا التكريم، موجّهًا شكره لإدارة المهرجان والقائمين عليه، مؤكدًا أن هذا الاحتفاء يمثل له دافعًا لمواصلة الإبداع ويُعد تكريمًا لكل من آمن بالمسرح وقيمته.
الجدير بالذكر أن الفنان عبد العزيز مخيون، بعد تخرجه من المعهد العالي للفنون المسرحية، قدم عدة عروض على مسارح الدولة من أبرزها مسرحية “مراصاد” (بيتر فايس)، ومسرحية “فوسيك” تأليف بوشنر، ومسرحية “مهرجان الضحك والبكاء” تأليف السيد الشوربجي، ومسرحية “المشخصاتية” تأليف عبدالله الطوخي، وغيرها من الأعمال المهمة،
وقد انقطع مخيون عن المسرح لفترة ثم عاد ليقدم مسرحية “الناس اللي في التالت” تأليف أسامة أنور عكاشة على خشبة المسرح القومي، كما قدم مسرحية “الجانديرما” مخرجًا على مسرح الطليعة، ومسرحية “غدًا في الصيف القادم” لميخائيل رومان، مخرجًا أيضًا على مسرح الطليعة،
إلى جانب ذلك، كتب العديد من المقالات حول المسرح وفنونه، أغلبها عن مشاهداته المسرحية في فرنسا وأوروبا، كما خاض تجربة فريدة في الريف المصري استمرت ثلاث سنوات بقرية ذكي أفندي بمحافظة البحيرة، وثّقها في كتابه “يوميات مخرج مسرحي في قرية مصرية”، وهي تجربة مسرحية دراسية تطبيقية تركت أثرًا مهمًا في مسيرته الفنية.
يشار إلى أن الدورة السابعة من مهرجان أيام القاهرة الدولي للمونودراما، التى أقيمت في الفترة من 1 حتى 5 أكتوبر 2024، قد شهدت تكريم الفنانة نيللي والفنانة إلهام شاهين، والفنان هاني رمزي، والفنان الفلسطيني غنام غنام، والمخرج محمد حجاج، والفنان محسن منصور، ونقيب الفنانين العراقيين جبار جودي، والممثل التونسي منير العرقي .

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, the Cairo International Monodrama Festival, headed by its founder Dr. Osama Raouf, will honor the esteemed artist Abdel Aziz Makhyoun in recognition of his rich artistic career and his outstanding contributions to Egyptian theater. The tribute will take place during the
festival’s 8th edition, scheduled to run from October 2 to 6.
For his part, Abdel Aziz Makhyoun expressed his joy at this recognition, extending his gratitude to the festival’s management and organizers. He affirmed that this celebration represents a strong motivation for him to continue creating, and that it also stands as an acknowledgment of everyone who has believed in theater and its value.
It is worth noting that after graduating from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, Makhyoun performed in
several productions on state theaters, including The Investigation by Peter Weiss, Woyzeck by Georg Büchner,
The Festival of Laughter and Tears by El-Sayed El-Shorbagi, and Al-Mushakhkhastiyyah by Abdullah Al-Toukhi, among other significant works. After a period away from the stage, he returned with The People in the Third Row by Osama Anwar Okasha at the National Theater. He also directed The Gendarme and Tomorrow in the Coming Summer by Mikhail Roman at Al-Tali‘a Theater. In addition, he authored numerous articles on theater and its arts, many of which reflected his observations of theatrical performances in France and Europe. Makhyoun also undertook a unique three-year experience in the Egyptian countryside at the village of Zaki Effendi in Beheira Governorate, which he documented in his book A Theater Director’s Diary in an Egyptian Village—a practical and educational theatrical experiment that left a significant mark on his artistic journey.
It should be mentioned that the 7th edition of the Cairo International Monodrama Festival, held from October 1 to 5, 2024, honored actress Nelly, actress Elham Shahin, actor Hani Ramzi, Palestinian artist Ghannam Ghannam, director Mohamed Haggag, actor Mohsen Mansour, Iraqi Artists Syndicate president Jabbar Joudi, and Tunisian actor Mounir Al-‘Arqi.
